The Project features
Adly Mansour Transportation Hub is an intersecting point for 5 means of transport. Adly Mansour Transportation Hub was developed to be an integrated transport complex on 15 acres to exchange the service Between five different types of transportation:
The third line of Greater Cairo Metro line which is the first metro line connecting both of east and west of Cairo

LRT which is connecting all the cities located in east Cairo then branching north after Badr City to the 10th Ramadan City and south to the New Administrative Capital, so that Adly Mansour Transportation Hub is the start point for New Administrative Capital destination.

Bus Rapid Transit BRT that has a separate lane on the Ring Road
Regional buses terminal where many lines of buses that make daily trips to all the Egyptian governorates.
It has been constructed a major overhaul workshop and depot for the third line Metro trains, that considered one of the biggest trains-workshop in the Middle East that built on 65 acres. It contains 32buildings, where heavy and light overhauls, paint work, and trains renewals are carried out, and including 270 equipment to meet the requirement of overhauling, and stores for spare parts.

The depot has a capacity to store trains with a capacity of 30 trains with 15 tracks including 12 tracks for parking and 3 tracks for trains interior washing.
As well, the Train wash building which consists of one track to wash the train from outside; it can wash 5 trains/hour.
The around area has been developed to be a car parking for cars and taxis, beside to an investment commercial area and landscape over an area of 49170m2 to convoy the requirements of the present time and the possibilities of future expansion.

How the project of Adly Mansour Transportation Hub Contribute to both of Industry and the Community (social Impact):
The steady increase of the population of the Egyptian state -which has crossed the threshold of 100 million people, has led to an increase in transportation problems over many decades in Egypt, was represented in many and many congested areas with vehicular traffic all over the Egyptian Capital, which make the time of daily trips is doubled two and three times, as well, Egypt was ranked in very high ranking all over the world in terms of road accidents. There was a complicated accumulation for the transportation problems and old damaged infrastructure over decades. There was a pressing need to implement such a big complex of transportation to meet the requirements of changing the demographic map and the emergence of several residential communities on the outskirts of the Egyptian governorates, and the implemented sustainable development plan by establishment of new urban communities, especially the New Administrative Capital,

to achieve Egypt's Vision 2030, given that the transportation system is one of the most important pillars of urban and economic development.
So that the project was of paramount importance, that was represented in enhancing and investing in infrastructure that gives confidence to foreign investors to invest their money inside the country, besides the circulation of Egyptian capital.

How Adly Mansour Transportation Hub fulfils the project’s function and succeeded to fit within the context of its intended use ?
Control centers that provided with modern and innovative technologies that contain modern displays that operate by rays instead of cells and developed signaling, communication systems.

Automatic crossing gates for stations that support contactless smart cards and smart ticket vending machines.
The use of digital information panels on the sidewalks to display the arrival times of trains.
Taking into account the seniors and people with special needs, from entering stations using ground signals to trains that have their own places inside, light panels and internal radios.
Provides an integrated system (cadres - equipment) to implement the train operation plan in accordance with security and safety standards for for LRT and 3rd Metro line trains.
During the project construction, the latest information management methods were used to serve the project and manage it by using (Aconex software).

Construction Quality & Craftsmanship
The teamwork has excelled with working in the most congested area with vehicular traffic in Cairo, in addition to the presence of a bus and minibus terminal at the project site, which is a linking point between Cairo and other Egyptian cities, and the large number of facilities and roads surrounding it from the Cairo-Ismailia Road, Gesr El-Suez Main Road and the Ring Road. So, it was impossible to stop the vehicular traffic at the construction site. They had to deal with this without interrupting the vehicles. So, they had to make traffic diversions and working in day and night shifts.

This congested area had also required a special and innovative construction techniques and safety plan.
Adly Mansour hub was opened by the Egyptian president to the public before finishing the glass coverage of the 3 stations (LRT station, Metro line station and regional railway station). It was planned to construct the glass coverage after the operation of the facility. The teamwork has excelled with constructing the glass coverage which consists of 12 longitudinal axes and 5 transverse axes, with a total weight of 2,300 tons, and an area of 24,000 m2. The length of the coverage is 198 m, 141 m wide that uplifted by space truss over concrete columns at a height of about 24 m and ensured safety for the passengers while continuing the construction.
Constructing such a design-build project with complex construction practices had required a high level of communication and collaboration among key players on the construction project that improved efficiency and productivity on project.

The teamwork has delivered the transportation hub with the best standards of quality: The facades have a structural glazing system, and the 3 external tunnels for pedestrians east, north and south ones with a dome having also a structural glaze system.

The project has short and long time benefits :
Maximizes the role of the transportation sector in the Egyptian capital, where modes of transportation are linked and intersected with each other
Provides fast transportation services that reduces trips durations for passengers at competitive prices, as the passenger does not get tired to ride the next mean of transport.

Reduces the rates of accidents and traffic congestions on main roads and axes.
Reduces maintenance costs for vehicles, as well as reduce road maintenance costs in the medium-to-long run.
Gives an added value to the lands, where there is a surge in the price of the lands surrounding the project, which led to wealth increasing for the owners of these lands.
Maximizes environmental and social responsibility by reducing fuel consumption, and replace it by electrical energy for BRT, LRT, 3rd Metro line and the regional railway, and consolidate the concept of sustainable development
The project facilitates the trips of passengers with safe, modern and non-polluting mean of transport.
